Sub-Zero Refrigerator Not Cooling? What to Check

Sub-Zero refrigerators are built to last, but when one stops cooling, fast action protects your food and the unit. Here's what to check.

1. Dirty condenser coils

Sub-Zero units have a condenser (often up top behind the grille) that clogs with dust. Clean it every 6–12 months — in the desert, dust builds up fast.

2. Failing evaporator fan

If one section is warm while another stays cold, the evaporator fan may have failed.

3. Sealed-system or compressor issue

Low refrigerant or a failing compressor needs an EPA-certified technician — this isn't a DIY fix.
